Map
Controls: - These buttons will let you move the map around,
or zoom into a particular place. If you know exactly where you would like to
go, you can type it in the box—a postcode or a street name—and the map will
zoom to it. If you want to change the zoom, you can use the ‘+’ or ‘-‘ buttons
to zoom in or out to that particular spot. If you would like to move the map,
you can use the arrow keys to move in the direction you want to go.
Find the Closest: - Use this section to find the closest
facility (Recycling Bring Banks, for example) to wherever you are on the map.
Once you click on a choice, the map will figure out which of your choice of
objects is the closest. A list will then pop up, telling you how far each
choice is from your place on the map. When you click on your choice, the map
will recentre itself on that particular object.
Layers you can add/remove: - This section lets you add
different kinds of ‘layers’, or themes to your map. Let’s say you want to know
where the cinemas are. You would click on ‘Cinemas’ from the list or on the ‘+’
sign next to it, and the map will automatically show all the cinemas in
Enfield. If you want to remove them from your map, just click on the word
again, or the ‘x‘ sign that is now next to it.
